THE BENEFITS OF WRITING IN PRESPECTIVE ACADEMIC AND SOCIETY LIFE

We have already known that writing is important subject that should be understood for each college student. It is not because we are majoring languages, but when we choose ourselves to be a college student at university, we must understand about writing.
Writing understanding is needed for college students as regulation to pass their graduation. Usually, on the 8^th semester, we must make the thesis as the requirement of graduating process at university to get the bachelor. For instance, when my friends and I had Writing 1 class, we known more on how to make a good paragraph, even an essay. There were some mistakes while we were writing, however. For me, I do not care about it, because writing is the process where we allow expressing our ideas through feeling and aspiration. In creating a good text we must do proofreading. So, we do not have to be worried if we are wrong in using lexical grammatical and words. Actually, there are many benefits through writing, and today I would like to convey more the benefits in academic and society life.

Firstly, in academic life, writing can improve the quality of students understanding in creating a good paper, essay or paragraph. We know, when we take the course about languages, at least we must understand of the rules on how to make a good writing. Especially, when we are majoring English or Bahasa, we might make some writing every week, right? It means that every student should understand what writing is, or why writing is important for our life. Besides, writing is one of the courses that must be taken by students in order to get graduation. It also means if we want a good mark we have to be good in writing to improve our grade. Let we see around us, many people have difficulties in making a paper/ thesis at the end of her/his semester as college student. College students often complain in making a thesis. They cannot graduate on time.

Second, by learning the writing form, we can continue our study easily to the next level. For us who are interested to be a master, or doctor we must make some research about something, and writing comes as the part on how to get them all. When we take TOEFL or EILTS course, we must write something on writing section. If we want to pass it, of course we must understand about writing. So, we will face continuously with writing, wherever we are.

Third, in society life, writing helps us to get money. If we are mastering in writing, people might ask us to teach them in writing. Some people might give us money as the honor of our job. If we want to apply for exchange students, we also need writing.  We can promote our ability skill in writing trough the social media, or open the course about writing. One of my friends, Aga Tasrifan, used to be the proofreader in finishing a thesis/ paper. He could make it, because he understands well about writing. Then, they gave him money as the honor for his job. It is very potential especially for college student to have a part time job as a proofreader/editor.

Fourth, through writing – improve and advance our ideas. People who love writing usually would be a criticize person. Critical thinking is very important to face the entire problem. It helps us to analyze the topic what we want to write. When we think about something we should give extension to develop the idea by advanced our ideas, skill and mind. Being a critical person might give us to filter all the information. For example, for we who are interested to be members of parliament house, we need to be critical person. Besides, if we want to decide something we need to analyze it in order we would not get bad impact. That is why, people who love writing can be categorized as criticized person.

So, after explaining these benefits we must consider that writing can give good impacts for our life. We should not hate writing; since we are the student we will meet writing wherever we are. Writing can give big contribution especially for our academic and society life.
